An innovative platform that transforms opinions into tradable assets.
OpinionsLab is a unique opinion trading platform that gamifies public sentiment. It enables users to express, share, and trade their views on trending topics—from politics and entertainment to sports and tech—by buying and selling opinion tokens. The goal was to create a highly engaging and intuitive product that feels like a blend of social media and stock trading, while educating users about sentiment analysis and prediction markets.
As the end-to-end Product Designer for OpinionsLab, I was involved from the very first idea to the MVP launch. I defined the brand identity, designed the logo, and created a flexible design system to support this first-of-its-kind platform. My responsibilities spanned across user research, UX strategy, information architecture, interaction design, UI design, prototyping, and usability testing. I worked closely with the founding team, developers, and early adopters to ensure the product was both engaging and easy to understand — despite the abstract nature of “opinion trading.”
OpinionsLab set out to build an entirely new category of platform: a marketplace where people could trade opinions as if they were stocks. The core challenge was making a completely unfamiliar concept feel intuitive, trustworthy, and engaging — without overwhelming users or making them feel lost. The design needed to both educate and excite, while guiding users through a new type of digital interaction.
Started with user interviews and market scans to validate the core concept
Built low-fi wireframes to test mental models around opinion trading
Defined a modern, trustworthy brand identity and crafted the logo
Designed a clean, finance-inspired UI to aid clarity and credibility
Created a component-based design system for easy future scaling
Conducted usability testing with early users to refine flows and terminology

Successfully launched a working MVP that secured the platform’s first round of investor funding
Onboarded over 10K early beta users within the first few months
Positive feedback from users who found the product engaging and “unexpectedly easy to use”
Recognized as one of the most innovative new fintech platforms in its early-stage category
Abstract or novel products need very literal metaphors and extra attention to onboarding
Designing trust into a product — through clarity, structure, and visual language — is critical in experimental domains
Brand consistency across UX, UI, and messaging builds confidence in first-time users
